    On August 19, 2013, the GOOD Global Fellowship brought Kurt Shaw of Favela News (Brazil) to teach a journalism class to four youth from Las Fotos Project: Boyle Heights. Two of the participants, Dianna and Victoria, interviewed Balbina Sanchez, a local street vendor. Balbina shared her experience of being a street vendor, as well as her hopes for the legalization of street vending. Prior to the interview, the students developed questions to help them facilitate the conversation.
